Description
The performance of ceramic materials at elevated temperatures is of great interest. In-air furnaces are available for flexure and tensile testing. A range of compatible fixtures and loading assemblies provides a complete solution for evaluating the mechanical properties of ceramics at elevated temperatures.
Principle of Operation
In-air furnace systems feature resistance heated elements and are designed to provide excellent stability of set-point temperature within the hot zone. Ports at either end allow the grips and pullrods to exit the furnace. A range of mountings is available to suit the test system.
